Mind Funk the Record Label

After the turn of the century, the term "Mind Funk" became associated with DJ Shawnodese, Djane Ada, Djane Back 2 Mars, and DJ Merry.

Born out of a series of raging parties held in Amsterdam, Holland between 2001 and 2002, Mind Funk became the name of a record label specializing in psytrance music. Mind Funk operated on the assumption that the term "psychedelic" was being used incorrectly and way too frequently in the world of dance music. Therefore Mind Funk vowed to scour the world looking for real psychedelic tracks in the hopes of dominating the psytrance market.

The group of worldwide dj's, producers, designers, and promoters are managed by the aforementioned DJ Shawnodese. What makes them so successful, and what makes their music a worldwide force to be reckoned with, is they are not only professionals but good friends that share a passion for dance music. Mind Funk is headquartered in Latin America and they've released several albums since their 2005 debut, "Twilight Twisters."
