Luminika’ is a well known name in the circles of young European circus artists and other international performers.
She started it all with fire dancing in 1997, together with a group named ‘ Reflection of the Soul’. This collaboration led to her 1st performance, which was for the 1st Earthdance held in the Amsterdam’s club ‘Trance Buddha’. After that there was no way back no more and she has performed in psytrance parties ever since.

Next to this she has been interested in, and has been getting many offers from other styles of (electronic) music and other sorts of events, such as festivals, circus and even from the television & the film industry. This interest has been coming from all over Europe up to the Middle East and even in Central & South America.

Luminika presents a visual and exciting contemporary circus performance, to spice up any sort of event worldwide, from a storming electronic party, to circus or theatre, video, commercials, or even the closing ceremony of the XX Winter Olympics, where she was one of 12 silk aerialists to be selected to take part. Luminika simply changes your event and performs where ever there is need for a extra touch of magic & imagination.

Her performances are breathtaking and spectacular, existing of a high skilled aerial dance, in which she hangs, spins, climbs, slides and falls down, all wrapped in what’s called an “aerial silk”. This professionally skilled artist performs an absolute stunning visual performance of top-class standards. Luminika also enjoys collaborating with other (circus) performers, musicians, vj’s, dj’s and visual artists greatly, to be able to create multi-disciplinary and mult-media contemporary circus performances.

Next to her aerial performances, Luminika has a passionate and thrilling fire-dance performance. This other and absolutely not less spectacular part of her show consists out of fire manipulation techniques of staff, double staff, clubs, poi, palms & fans, all which are beautifully combined with professional dance choreography.

The end result is a visually stunning hypnotic light dance performance ,in which professional choreography is combined with the high-tech luminous twirling & juggling of her equipment. Together they are creating a breath taking dance performance of ultra-violet light effects by this new super talent presented by Mind Funk Music... and we are surely proud to have her in!

• [2000]– Performance at Rio Carnaval – Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) – Performance on main stage in the Lapa with the band ‘Inhumanos’ (Brasil)
• [2002] – Movie role in ‘The Green Goddess’ where Luminika played the role of a “Fire Goddess”. Soundtrack of the movie partly done by G.M.S. and Skazi.
• [2004] – Performance in the dutch TV series “Mijn Mooiste Dag” (RT5 Station)
• [2005] – Performance in a Coca-Cola commercial as an aerialist, together with Lebanese vocalist Nancy Arjam.
• [2006] – Performance as an aerialist in the closing ceremony of the “XX Winter Olympics” in Torino (Italy), under the direction of “Daniele Finsci Pasca” (creator & director of ‘Corteo’ – Cirque de Soleil)
